Nursery & Children’s Church at Trinity

Programming
Nursery
For children up to age 2. Available during the worship service in the Children’s Ministry area adjacent to the sanctuary.
Children’s Church
For children ages 3-8. The Children will be dismissed from the sanctuary prior to the sermon for age-specific lessons in the Children’s Ministry area adjacent to the sanctuary. We are currently using the Jesus Storybook Bible (Sally Lloyd-Jones) as well as The Gospel Story Bible (Marty Machowski) for our children’s curriculum.
Upper Elementary
For children ages 9-11. The Children will be dismissed from the sanctuary prior to the sermon for age-specific lessons in the Children’s Ministry area adjacent to the sanctuary. We are currently using New City Catechism in our Upper Elementary class.
Check-in process
When you arrive, we will show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to the first-time check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, how many children are in your family, and get your contact information.
Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. This sticker is also what you’ll need to pick up your child after the service. If for any reason the nursery staff needs you during the service, you’ll receive a text message.
For many parents, dropping children off in a new environment can be a bit stressful. We know because we’re parents too! Don’t worry, our staff will be there to walk you through everything and answer any questions you may have.
Safety policies
We consider the safety of the children at Trinity Baptist Church of the utmost importance. We must protect the trust that parents have given us to nurture children spiritually, emotionally, and socially while doing all in our power to keep them from harm. We will do all that we can to screen, train and support our volunteers that work with children.
The following policies are in place:
Volunteers must have at least 6 months of regular attendance at Trinity
Volunteers must have at least 18 years old
Volunteers undergo a background check
Each classroom will have a minimum of two volunteers present for safety and accountability
Volunteers must adhere to the Children’s Ministry Guidelines and Procedures as well as our Sexual Abuse Policy and sign the Personal Commitment for Volunteers document.
